NAINA

As the event comes to an end, we both settle down in the car. There was a dead silence, with only the radio playing softly in the background. "Sorry for earlier," I confess sincerely, breaking the silence.

Reyansh's expression shifts, and without a word, he abruptly stops the car on the side of the road. In one swift motion, he pulls me onto his lap, his hands gripping my waist firmly.

His lips crash onto mine, kissing me roughly, his urgency and passion catching me off guard.

The world outside fades away as our kiss deepens, a mix of pent-up frustration and undeniable desire. His hands slide up my back, pulling me closer as I lose myself in the moment, my fingers tangling in his hair. The intensity of the kiss leaves me breathless, and all I can think about is him, here and now.

"You look beautiful" he says breathlessly attaching our foreheads. "I know that, your eyes they said it" I answer him.

He smiles at me with that smile that can melt my heart, the one that can light up the darkest room. His smile is what my heart and soul crave and live for.

I shift back in my seat, the radio playing softly in the background as the lyrics of "Phir Kabhi" fill the car. I keep stealing glances at him, unable to help myself.

Every now and then, his index finger reaches up to scratch his forehead, and he takes deep breaths. "Ask," I say, breaking the silence.

He looks at me, confused. "I know you want to ask something, Reyansh. Go ahead," I encourage. He always does that when he's hesitant, worrying about ruining my mood.

"Who is Nihal?" he finally asks.

It was around 11 PM when I entered house. The place was shrouded in darkness, not a single light on.

As I made my way upstairs, a chilling sound stopped me in my tracks. It was the sound of crying-Kainaat's voice, filled with distress.

Panic surged through me. I sprinted to her room, the door slightly ajar. My heart pounded as I pushed it open and saw the horrifying scene before me: Kainaat was pinned to the bed, Nihal hovering above her, his hands fumbling to tear away her clothes.

Without a second thought, I drew my gun. A loud shot echoed through the room as I fired, the bullet finding its mark in Nihal's knee. He collapsed to the floor with a guttural scream, clutching his shattered knee in agony. I aimed for his forehead, but a promise held me back.

Kainaat ran to me, tears streaming down her face. I pulled her behind me, shielding her from the vile creature writhing on the floor.

"Mr. Ahuja," I said, my voice cold and steady, "consider yourself lucky I didn't end your life tonight. But know this—if I ever see you near my sister again, the next bullet will find its way into your skull."

Nihal groaned, his face contorted in pain and fear. I kept my eyes locked on him, ensuring he understood the gravity of my words. Finally, with Kainaat safe behind me, I turned and led her out of the room, leaving Nihal to wallow in his well-deserved misery.

Soon the body guards took him away, I was sitting with Kainaat in my arms who was crying her petite figure clutching onto me, I made a vow to destroy his life in the worst way possible.

Till a point where living is the hardest thing for him.
